ARTISANAL ENCHANTMENT

In 1994, Nivedita Banerji started Kumbaya as a stitching centre in a remote village in Dewas district, Madhya Pradesh. Today, over 100 women from marginalised communities work in Kumbaya Producer Company Ltd, where employment is guaranteed for 300 days a year.

The Nafisa trousers are true pieces of art and creative expression through embroidery. So much work is put into every step of the process. From the pattern making to celebrating the ancestral craft of handloom, natural dye and hand embroidery. We hope that you feel the craftsmanship and love that is woven into every dress.

This is a handwoven, naturally-dyed denim with embroidery - 100% cotton.

Due to the hand dyed and handwoven nature of the fabric, there might be color and motif variations making each piece one of a kind. Washing by hand is advised before wearing.
