There is a world of wisdom we can learn from Indigenous women. For the next chapter of our ‘Sacred Activism month’, we shine light on a special story from Sâmia Biruany, indigenous leader and force behind the Mimã Xarabu collective in Brazil’s Amazon rainforest. Sâmia is a feminine energy of the forest who inspires us with her leadership and shares the wisdom and message she has learned on her journey to bring shared visions, creations and perspectives to the world. 

With the United Nations week of climate action COP27 taking place, we shine light on the sacred role of activism and connection. It is a moment of action, momentum and bringing distinct embodiments of the ecological movement into conversation.

Kat is a Wisdom Seeker and Storyteller of indigenous European spirituality, folklore and mythology. Her work lies at the intersection of remembrance and re-enchantment, bridging her extensive historical knowledge on Paganism to embodiment through earth based rituals in today's world. By reviving Indigenous European culture, and searching for connection at the roots of her own ancestral lineage, Kat brings ritual and knowledge into re-establishing a connection to the ancestral realm, to the spirits of Europe and a cosmology based in the feminine and reciprocity of the natural world.

As the days are growing shorter, the leaves are melting into the colours of Autumn and we are digging our cosiest jumpers out of our wardrobes -  preparing for the cocooning and comfort of the colder days to come. It is a time filled with earthly magic, transformation and space for deep rest and introspection. Reflecting the beauty and infinite wisdom of Earth, last month's series of 'Cyclical Wisdom' culminates into the ‘Season of Death and New Beginnings’.
